A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in various chipsets from Qualcomm, including those used in mobile platforms, automotive applications, and video collaboration devices. This vulnerability arises from memory corruption during video playback, specifically when a video session fails to open and times out. The issue could potentially be exploited to cause memory-related errors or corruption in the application handling the video playback.
Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to memory corruption, which can be manipulated to cause unintended behavior in the application, such as executing arbitrary code or causing a crash.
Qualcomm has released patches for this vulnerability. Instructions for applying the patch can be found in the Qualcomm December 2025 Security Bulletin.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
