A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in the Windows Standards-Based Storage Management Service. This issue arises from uncontrolled resource consumption, allowing an unauthorized attacker to disrupt service over the network. The vulnerability affects multiple versions of Windows Server, including 2012 R2, 2016, 2022, 2019, and 2025, as well as the Server Core installations of these versions.
Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to a significant denial-of-service condition, causing a high impact on availability by allowing unauthorized attackers to disrupt network services.
