Intel Distribution for Python Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in some Intel Distribution for Python software installers prior to version 2025.1.0, where incorrect default permissions may allow an authenticated user to escalate privileges through local access. Intel has acknowledged this issue and will release updates to address it.

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized privilege escalation.

Remediation

Users are advised to update Intel Distribution for Python to version 2025.1.0 or later, available for download from the Intel oneAPI Distribution for Python download page.
