A vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel-mode driver for some Intel 700 Series Ethernet devices, prior to version 2.28.5. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user to potentially escalate privileges through local access, due to insufficient control flow management.
Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized privilege escalation.
Users are advised to update Intel 700 Series Ethernet drivers for Linux to version 2.28.5 or later. The updated drivers are available within the Intel Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack version 30.0.1x or later.
