NVIDIA vGPU Software Virtual GPU Manager Global Resource Access Vulnerability Allowing Denial-of-Service

Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in NVIDIA vGPU software, specifically within the Virtual GPU Manager component. This issue allows a guest to access global resources, potentially leading to service disruption. The vulnerability affects all versions of the vGPU software for Linux-style hypervisors prior to and including vGPU 18.3, as well as all versions prior to and including vGPU 16.10.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can cause a denial-of-service condition, disrupting normal service operations.

Remediation

Users can download the updated version of NVIDIA vGPU software through the NVIDIA Licensing Portal. For vGPU 18.4, the updated version is 18.4 for both Windows and Linux. For vGPU 16.11, the updated version is 16.11 for both Windows and Linux.
