A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WeGIA application, specifically within the configuracao_doacao.php endpoint. This issue allows attackers to inject malicious scripts through the avulso parameter. The vulnerability arises from inadequate validation and sanitization of user inputs, enabling the injection of harmful payloads that are executed in the context of the user's browser.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user's browser. This could lead to theft of cookies, manipulation of session information, or execution of malicious code on the user's system.
To reproduce this vulnerability, send a GET request to the WeGIA application’s configuracao_doacao.php endpoint. Include a script payload in the avulso parameter. The injected script will be reflected in the response and executed in the browser.
Users can update to WeGIA version 3.2.8 to address this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
