A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's MVPP2 network driver can lead to memory corruption in the parser TCAM and SRAM. This issue arises from concurrent modifications by multiple CPUs, causing corruption in the MVPP2_PE_MAC_UC_PROMISCUOUS entry. As a result, the classifier unit drops all incoming unicast traffic. The vulnerability affects several versions of the Linux kernel.
Exploitation of this vulnerability can cause memory corruption, leading to incorrect handling of network traffic and potentially allowing for further exploitation or instability in the system.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
