A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IOMMU VT-d implementation has been addressed. The issue arose from a commit that altered the handling of DMAR fault interrupts, leading to a warning about suspicious RCU usage. This warning indicated that a RCU-list was traversed without the appropriate locks, potentially causing concurrency issues. The vulnerability could have been exploited under specific conditions where the DRHD list was traversed without proper locking, allowing for improper handling of interrupts and potentially leading to a race condition.
The vulnerability could cause improper RCU list traversal, leading to potential race conditions and concurrency issues in the IOMMU VT-d driver.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
