Linux Kernel PSR1 Handling Vulnerability Reversion

Vulnerability

A vulnerability related to the handling of Panel Self Refresh (PSR) 1 in the Linux kernel's AMD display driver has been addressed. The issue arose from a previous change that implemented hardware lock management for PSR1, which inadvertently led to system hangs when two embedded DisplayPort (eDP) panels were connected. This vulnerability affects several versions of the Linux kernel.

Impact

The vulnerability could cause system hangs when two eDP panels are connected, disrupting normal operation.
