Linux Kernel HNS3 Driver Misc Vector Handling Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's HNS3 driver related to the handling of miscellaneous interrupt vectors has been addressed. The issue arose because the miscellaneous interrupt vector was automatically enabled before the corresponding service task was initialized. This created a potential race condition: if an interrupt was reported during this window, it could lead to a warning by causing the error handling task to be scheduled improperly. The warning would include a call trace showing the disruption caused by the premature interrupt handling.

Impact

The vulnerability could cause kernel warnings and disrupt the normal scheduling of error handling tasks, potentially leading to degraded system performance or stability.
