A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the WebService Authentication processing of certain Small Office Multifunction Printers and Laser Printers. This vulnerability, present in specific models and firmware versions, may allow an attacker on the same network segment to cause the printer to become unresponsive or to execute arbitrary code. The affected models include various Satera, Color imageCLASS, i-SENSYS, and imageRUNNER printers, with the vulnerability present in firmware versions through 05.07.
Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to a denial-of-service condition, causing the printer to become unresponsive, or allow for arbitrary code execution on the affected device.
