Vulnerability

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in some Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for Windows, prior to version 23.100. This vulnerability may allow a privileged user to cause a denial-of-service condition through local access.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to a denial-of-service condition, causing the system to become unresponsive or unavailable.

Remediation

Users are advised to update Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows to version 23.100 or later. These updates are available for download from the Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows page or the Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Wi-Fi Drivers for IT Administrators page.
