A vulnerability in some Intel Rapid Storage Technology installation software may allow an authenticated user to escalate privileges through local access. This issue arises from improper access control in the software.

Remediation
Users are advised to update Intel Rapid Storage Technology software to version 20.2.1.1016 or later for 12th to 15th Gen Platforms, and to version 19.5.8.1059 or later for 12th to 13th Gen Platforms.
