Intel Graphics Driver Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in some Intel Graphics Driver software installers due to incorrect default permissions. This flaw may allow an authenticated user to escalate privileges through local access. The issue affects various Intel Graphics products, including Intel Arc graphics, Intel Iris Xe graphics, and drivers for certain Intel Core, Atom, Pentium, and Celeron processors, all prior to specific versions.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Intel Graphics Driver for Intel Arc graphics and Intel Iris Xe graphics to version 32.0.101.6737 or later. For Intel Arc Pro graphics, update to version 32.0.101.6637 or later. For Intel Data Center GPU Flex Series, version 32.0.101.6733 or later is recommended. Intel Graphics Drivers for the 7th-10th Gen Intel Core processor family and related Intel Atom, Pentium, and Celeron processors should be updated to version 31.0.101.2135 or later.
