A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress plugin 'Photos, Files, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Ecommerce Contest Gallery – Upload, Vote, Sell via PayPal or Stripe, Social Share Buttons', affecting all versions prior to and including 26.0.0.1. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the compromised page.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
To reproduce this vulnerability, comment on a photo gallery entry using the Name and Comment fields. The injected script will execute when the comment is viewed.
Users are advised to update the plugin to version 26.0.1 or a newer patched version.
