A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Ultimate Member WordPress plugin, specifically in versions through 2.11.1. This issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into user description fields. The injected scripts are executed when a user views the affected page. This vulnerability is exploitable only if 'HTML support for user description' is enabled in the Ultimate Member settings.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Users are advised to update the Ultimate Member WordPress plugin to version 2.11.2 or a newer patched version.
