A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the SlimStat Analytics plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 5.3.3. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of the 'fh' (fingerprint) parameter, which is saved in the database. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when an administrator views the Real-time Access Log report.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the affected page.
Users can update to SlimStat Analytics version 5.3.4 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
