- 1.0
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Campcodes Supplier Management System version 1.0. The issue arises in the admin/add_distributor.php file, where the txtDistributorAddress parameter is manipulated, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely, without any authentication.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for unauthorized database access, manipulation of data, and potential disruption of services.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a POST request to the admin/add_distributor.php file with the txtDistributorAddress parameter. The request should include a crafted SQL injection payload that exploits the application's SQL query handling. This can be done using tools like sqlmap, which automates the process of finding and exploiting SQL injection vulnerabilities.
It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
