Royal Elementor Addons and Templates WordPress Plugin Cross-Site Request Forgery Vulnerability

A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability has been identified in the Royal Elementor Addons and Templates plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.7.1007. The vulnerability arises from inadequate nonce validation in the 'wpr_filter_woo_products' function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts by tricking a site administrator into clicking a link.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, where an attacker injects malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, an attacker must exploit the 'wpr_filter_woo_products' function without proper nonce validation. This can be done by sending a forged request to a WordPress site with the vulnerable plugin, tricking an administrator into clicking a link that activates the request.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Royal Elementor Addons and Templates plugin to version 1.7.1008 or later.
