Xpro Addons for Elementor Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Xpro Addons - 140+ Widgets for Elementor plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.4.24. The issue arises in the Image Scroller widget's link attribute, where inadequate input sanitization and output escaping allow authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary scripts. These scripts execute when a user accesses the compromised page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Xpro Addons for Elementor plugin to version 1.4.25 or a newer patched version.
