A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Simple AL Slider plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions up to and including 1.2.10. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts could be executed if a user is tricked into clicking a link that exploits the vulnerability.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.
To reproduce this vulnerability, an attacker can craft a link that includes a script payload and directs the user to a page that uses the vulnerable plugin. The injected script will be executed as soon as the user clicks the link.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
