Like DisLike Voting WordPress Plugin Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Like DisLike Voting plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions up to and including 1.0.1. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts could be executed if a user is tricked into clicking a link that exploits the vulnerability.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.
Reproduction
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a request that includes a payload in the `$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']`` variable. This can be done by clicking on a link that has been crafted to include the malicious script, which will then be executed on the page.
