BlockArt Blocks WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the BlockArt Blocks WordPress plugin, specifically in the Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks, Page Builder Blocks, Sections & Template Library version 2.2.13 and prior. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts would execute when a user accesses the affected page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation

Users can update to version 2.2.14 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
