Ultimate Member Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Ultimate Member WordPress plugin, specifically in versions through 2.11.0. The issue arises in the YouTube Video 'value' field, where inadequate input sanitization and output escaping allow authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts. These scripts are executed when a user views the profile page of the injected user.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the profile.

Remediation

Users can update to Ultimate Member version 2.11.1 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
