Site Mailer WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Site Mailer – SMTP Replacement, Email API Deliverability & Email Log plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.2.3. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts that execute when users access the compromised pages.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Remediation
Users are advised to update the Site Mailer plugin to version 1.2.4 or later.
