Fancy Product Designer Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability via SVG Uploads

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Fancy Product Designer plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 6.4.8. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping in the 'data-to-image.php' and 'pdf-to-image.php' files. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when a user accesses the SVG file.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the affected page.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Fancy Product Designer plugin to version 6.5.0 or later.
