Simple Folio WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Simple Folio plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.1.0. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into portfolio pages. These scripts are executed when users view the injected pages.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the portfolio page.
Remediation
Users can update to version 1.1.1 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
