A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Community Events plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.5.2. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts into event details. These scripts are executed when users access the affected pages.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the event.
Users are advised to update the Community Events plugin to version 1.5.3 or later.
