Everviz WordPress Plugin Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Everviz plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 1.1. The issue arises from the plugin's failure to properly sanitize user input or escape output when creating a div element from the 'type' and 'hash' attributes of the 'everviz' shortcode. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when a user accesses the modified page.
