A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Playerzbr plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.6. This vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. The injected scripts are executed when users access the compromised pages.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with contributor-level access or higher can inject scripts through the 'urlmeta' post meta field. The absence of proper input sanitization and output escaping in the plugin allows these scripts to be executed when the injected page is accessed.

Remediation

No known patch is available for this vulnerability. It is recommended to uninstall the affected plugin and find a replacement.
