Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Colibri Page Builder plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.0.345. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the 'colibri_blog_posts' shortcode. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the affected pages.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with contributor-level access or higher can use the 'colibri_blog_posts' shortcode. The absence of proper input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes allows for the injection of malicious scripts, which will be executed when the injected page is accessed.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the Colibri Page Builder plugin to version 1.0.358 or a newer patched version.
