A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in CodeAstro Gym Management System version 1.0. The issue resides in the file '/admin/edit-equipmentform.php', where the 'id' parameter is manipulated, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely and has been made public.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows unauthorized access to the database, manipulation of data, and potential disruption of services.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a crafted GET request to '/admin/edit-equipmentform.php' with an injected payload in the 'id' parameter. Various injection techniques can be used, including boolean-based blind, error-based, time-based blind, and UNION-based injections.
It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
