WP Google Map Plugin Blind SQL Injection Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A blind SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the WP Google Map Plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.0. The issue arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied data in the 'id' parameter of the 'google_map' shortcode, coupled with a lack of proper preparation of the SQL query. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject additional SQL queries into existing ones, potentially leading to the extraction of sensitive information from the database.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for blind SQL injection, where an attacker can manipulate SQL queries to extract data from the database. In this case, the vulnerability could be used to access sensitive information.
