- < 9.0.48
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP Go Maps WordPress plugin, affecting versions prior to 9.0.48. The issue arises because the plugin fails to properly sanitize user input submitted through an AJAX action. This lack of input validation allows unauthenticated users to inject XSS payloads, which are subsequently retrieved via another AJAX call and displayed without proper escaping.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the content.
Users are advised to update the WP Go Maps WordPress plugin to version 9.0.48 or later.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
