Watu Quiz Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability via HTTP Referer

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Watu Quiz plugin for WordPress, affecting versions through 3.4.4. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping when the 'Save source URL' option is activated. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the compromised page.

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.

Remediation
