Kidaze CourseSelectionSystem SQL Injection Vulnerability in COUNT3s5.php
Vulnerability
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in Kidaze CourseSelectionSystem version 1.0, specifically in the file '/Profilers/PriProfile/COUNT3s5.php'. The vulnerability arises from inadequate validation of the 'csslc' parameter, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. This flaw can be exploited remotely, without any authentication, potentially leading to unauthorized database access, data manipulation, and leakage of sensitive information.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, enabling attackers to interfere with database queries. This could result in unauthorized data access, data modification or deletion, and exposure of sensitive information.
Reproduction
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a POST request to '5.php' with the 'csslc' parameter. The injection can be verified by using payloads that exploit boolean-based blind SQL injection or time-based blind SQL injection, such as injecting a SQL payload that manipulates the query logic or uses a time delay to indicate successful exploitation.
Remediation
It is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
