PPC 2K15X Router Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the PPC 2K15X Router. This issue arises from inadequate input validation of Common Gateway Interface (CGI) parameters in the web management portal. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious JavaScript into the affected parameter, potentially executing arbitrary JavaScript, stealing session cookies, and accessing sensitive credentials.

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade the PPC 2K15X Router to firmware version V2.3.24.
