GitLab CE/EE Denial-of-Service Vulnerability in Event Collection

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE) versions 17.10 prior to 18.3.5, 18.4 prior to 18.4.3, and 18.5 prior to 18.5.1. This vulnerability could have allowed an unauthenticated attacker to disrupt service by sending specially crafted payloads, causing a denial-of-service condition.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to a denial-of-service condition, causing the application to become unresponsive or unavailable.

Remediation
