Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP BookWidgets plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 0.9. Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with contributor-level access or higher can use the 'bw_link' shortcode to inject a script. The lack of proper sanitization and escaping allows the script to be executed when the page is viewed.

Remediation

No known patch is available for this vulnerability. Users are advised to review the vulnerability details and consider uninstalling the affected plugin.
