A critical SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the Itsourcecode Online Discussion Forum version 1.0. The issue resides in the file '/admin/admin_forum/add_views.php', where insufficient validation of the 'id' parameter allows attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely, without any authentication, potentially leading to unauthorized database access, data manipulation, and disruption of service.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, enabling attackers to interfere with the application's database queries. This could result in unauthorized data access, data modification or deletion, and in some cases, executing administrative operations on the database.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a crafted HTTP request to the '/admin/admin_forum/add_views.php' file with an injected payload in the 'id' parameter. This payload exploits the time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability by using a SQL injection technique that leverages the database's response time to infer information.
It is recommended to implement input validation and use prepared statements to prevent SQL injection. Regular security audits can also help identify and address vulnerabilities.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
