A critical SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the Itsourcocode Tailoring Management System version 1.0. This issue arises from inadequate input validation in the 'staffid' parameter of the 'staffview.php' file, allowing attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely, potentially leading to unauthorized database access, data manipulation, and leakage of sensitive information.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, which can be used to access, modify, or delete database information. This could include sensitive data, and in some cases, it might allow for further exploitation of the application or server.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a GET request to 'deldoc.php', 'customerview.php', 'typedelete.php', 'templatedelete.php', 'expview.php', 'incview.php', 'partview.php', or 'staffview.php' with an injected 'id', 'expid', 'incid', 'typeid', or 'staffid' parameter. The injection can be crafted to exploit the SQL injection vulnerability, such as by using a payload that includes a SQL injection vector, like '1' AND (SELECT(SLEEP(5)))
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection. Additionally, input validation and filtering should be implemented to ensure user input conforms to expected formats. Minimizing database user permissions and conducting regular security audits can also help enhance the application's security.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
