A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the WP Activity Log plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 5.2.2. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts are executed when a user accesses the compromised page.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Users can update to WP Activity Log version 5.3.0 or later to address this vulnerability.
