A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Active Products Tables for WooCommerce plugin, specifically in versions through 1.0.6.6. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts. This injected script could be executed if a user is tricked into clicking a link or performing a similar action.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser.
The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a request to a page that uses the Active Products Tables for WooCommerce plugin, including the 'shortcodes_set' parameter with the injected script. The lack of proper sanitization and escaping will allow the script to be executed when the page is loaded.
Users are advised to update the Active Products Tables for WooCommerce plugin to version 1.0.6.7 or later.
