Arm Mali Valhall GPU Kernel Driver Use-After-Free Vulnerability

A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in the Arm Mali Valhall GPU Kernel Driver and the Arm 5th Gen GPU Architecture Kernel Driver, both of which are affected in versions from r53p0 prior to r54p0. This vulnerability allows a local non-privileged user process to perform improper GPU memory processing operations, leading to access of already freed memory.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in a use-after-free condition, allowing access to freed memory, which could potentially be manipulated to cause undefined behavior in the application or system.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade to version r54p0 or later to address this vulnerability.
