A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth subsystem has been addressed. The issue arose in the Realtek Bluetooth driver when a USB dongle with an unrecognized chip was inserted, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. This flaw could cause a kernel oops, a type of error indicating a serious problem in the kernel's operation. The vulnerability has been mitigated by adding a NULL pointer check in the 'btrtl_setup_realtek()' function.
Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a NULL pointer dereference, causing a kernel oops and potentially disrupting system operations.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
