IBM watsonx.ai Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in IBM watsonx.ai versions 1.1 through 2.0.3, as well as in IBM watsonx.ai on Cloud Pak for Data versions 4.8 through 5.0.3. This vulnerability allows authenticated users to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the Web UI, potentially altering functionality and leading to credential disclosure within a trusted session.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in cross-site scripting, allowing for the injection of malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of the user's session.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade to IBM watsonx.ai version 2.1.0 or later. For those using IBM watsonx.ai on Cloud Pak for Data, version 5.1.0 and above is recommended. Detailed upgrade instructions are available on the IBM Software Hub.
