Intel RealSense D400 Series UWP Driver Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in the Intel RealSense D400 Series Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Driver for Windows 10, all versions. This vulnerability involves an uncontrolled search path that may allow an authenticated user to escalate privileges through local access. Intel has announced the discontinuation of this driver and will not provide any further updates or patches.

Remediation

Users are advised to discontinue use of the Intel RealSense D400 Series UWP Driver for Windows 10 and migrate to a newer generation product. As of May 2, 2024, this driver is no longer supported with functional, security, or other updates.
