Intel Gaudi Software Installer Privilege Escalation Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists in some Intel Gaudi software installers prior to version 1.18, where incorrect default permissions may allow an authenticated user to escalate privileges through local access. Intel has acknowledged this issue and is releasing updates to address it.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized privilege escalation.

Remediation

Users are advised to update Intel Gaudi software to version 1.18 or later. The latest version can be downloaded from the Intel Habana Vault.
