IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation versions 24.0.0 prior to IF004 and 24.0.1 prior to IF001. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the Web UI, potentially altering functionality and leading to credential disclosure within a trusted session.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in cross-site scripting, allowing for the injection of malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of the user's session.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade to IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation 24.0.0-IF005 or 24.0.1-IF002. Instructions for upgrading are available on the IBM Support website.
