A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in GitLab Community Edition (CE) and Enterprise Edition (EE), affecting all versions from 7.10 prior to 16.11.5, as well as versions 17.0 prior to 17.0.3 and 17.1 prior to 17.1.1. This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause a denial-of-service condition by using a crafted markdown page.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to a denial-of-service condition, causing the application to become unresponsive or unavailable.
